MRS. BERNICE H. PEARSON, 95, of Little Rock, passed peacefully on August 24, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 6, 1921 in Pottsville, Ark., to the late Robert and Mazie Sudduth Holland. She relocated to Little Rock in 1945 with her husband, the Rev. Thurloo Pearson Sr., who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her beloved children: the Rev. Bettye P. Lewis, Barbara P. Carpenter (Raymond), Priscilla “Jackie” Pearson, Thurloo Pearson Jr.; Boyce N. Pearson (Vera); and Marva D. Pearson; loving grandchildren: the Rev. Dr. Tamara E. Lewis; Latonia Allen; Kristin Lewis-Schwaiger (Werner); Raymond Prince Carpenter Jr.;Thurloo Pearson III; and Aisha Pearson; three precious great grand-children; a devoted brother; four loving sisters; three faithful sisters-in-law; many loving nieces, nephews and other relatives; loving caregivers, Jackie Holloway and Carlus Walker; Miles Church family; and many faithful friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, September 2, 2016, at 10 a.m., at Miles Memorial CME Church, 1804 East Capitol Ave., Little Rock, Ark., with the Rev. Richard Stokes officiating. Interment will be at Little National Cemetery, 2523 Springer Blvd., Little Rock, Ark. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church Friday at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday evening, September 1, 2016, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
