Estoria Pettus-Wayne 82, of Little Rock, AR., daughter of the late Samuel Pettus Sr. and Minnie Pettus was born September 29, 1934, and peacefully slept away September 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.Estoria’s most noteworthy employment endeavors were with the State of Arkansas where she retired as a pharmacy technician.
Estoria enjoyed her family and loved family gatherings. At the Apex of life was an ardent love for her children and even more so the “grands” and “great grands”.
Estoria was sassy, classy and feisty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Wayne; both parents, Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Pettus Sr.; sister, Erma Williams; brother, Artis Pettus; sons, Marcus (Bell) Pettus and Allen Wayne Sr. (Gwen). Left to cherish her astonishing memory: Barbara Blanton (A.D.), Beverly Taylor (Larry), Constance Wayne (Helen) and Tonya; thirteen grandchildren; three great grands; eight brothers; seven sisters; in-laws; nieces and nephews; cousins and adopted children as well as a host of co-workers and special friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, 11:00 am, at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 West 12th Street, LR, AR. Family visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2016, 6-7 pm, at St. Mark. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Scott, AR. Arrangements by: Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S.
