Bernice Floyd


Bernice “MaDea” Conway Floyd, 95 of Little Rock, Ark. went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 11, 2016.  She was born May 25, 1921 in England, Ark. to the late Roy and Francis Conway. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Macedonia Baptist Church in Little Rock where she served until her health declined. She married the love of her life, the late John Floyd Jr.

She was preceded in death by one son Cleo Gray. She leaves to cherish her memories one brother; Leroy (Birdie) Conway of Little Rock; four sons, Joseph Campbell, Michael Floyd, Freddie (Stephanie) Floyd and Freeman (Nita) Floyd all of Central Little Rock area; eight daughters; Shirley Watkins, Carolyn Ashmore, Bobbie (Harold) Walls, Ella (Gill) Gilbert, Diane (Louis) Mack, Johnnie Floyd, Sarah Floyd, and Coretha (Robert) Brown all of Little Rock; 57 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Family hour will be Friday, November 18, 2016, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St. Little Rock, Ark. Home going services will be Saturday, November 19, 2016, 11 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1723 E. Third St. Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Rest in Peace Cemetery, Hensley, Ark.

  1. I am sorry to read about your loss. May God’s words in the Bible at Ps 34:18 provide you comfort. The scriptures tells us HE is near to those broken at heart, and those crushed in spirit HE saves.
