  1. I have fond memories of Slater. He was a father to me and my siblings. Slater taught me the values of life and to never let anyone frustrate you to the point that you lose character. He is the reason I passed Algebra in high school. To this day, i still can’t play cards, (although he tried to teach me.) Willie Slater will forever live in my heart. He was a strong man, a man of character, a man i could look up to. Rest in love Slater. Gone but never forgotten.

  2. When the enemy death strikes, it can leave us with emotions that are difficult to understand and process.  At that time we can gain comfort from God’s word. Philippians 4:6, 7 tells us we can gain the peace of God that surpasses our thoughts and is bigger than any pain we may feel. We hope that you and your family gain comfort at  this time from the words of Isaiah 41 : 10, 13, which say, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you ……  I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness”.

  3. I offer my condolences for the loss of Willie. Continue to lean on family and friends for support. God gives us comfort and hope at Isaiah 41:10 and 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 when we mourn on occasions like this. May you find the strength to endure the days ahead.
